The founding of the company was preceded by intensive years of study and research. First, I studied the theoretical foundations of acoustics. As part of my thesis "Room Resonance - The room as an instrument" has been demonstrated that each room can be scientifically described not only wave, radiation theory and statistics, but this is also a resonant body in the sense of instrumental science. He has the same effect on the sound of the played or played music as the violin carcass on the string.
With the founding of Schmaus-Sound and the construction of three test rooms in 2015, the foundation stone was laid for practical research in a small space. First, we determined what a room needed to a) avoid acoustic problems and b) make the maximum information within the music audible. As a former professional orchestra musician, I was particularly interested in communicating the emotions of the artist while playing and the feeling that a room can already unleash without music. Even the nuances that the musicians work out of the pieces in hard daily work should be heard in the finest manner.
